Dragomir Saric

I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Queens College and a faculty member in the Mathematics Program at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

My research is in the field of geometric analysis, specifically quasiconformal maps, hyperbolic geometry and Teichmuller theory.

I was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, NJ during the 2025–2026 academic year. This appointment is generously supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the PRIMES program award DMS-2521870. During my member year at IAS, I engaged in research and collaboration within the IAS community.

My research is currently supported by National Science Foundation, Simons Foundation and PSC-CUNY. As part of the NSF award DMS-2521870, in a collaboration with Xinlong Dong (Mathematics, Kingsborough) and Thomas Eaton (Art, Kingsborough), we developed a dynamic visualization of the geodesic flow on hyperbolic surfaces.
